Next Generation Mountain Tourism Vehicles

The Next Generation Mountain Touring Train Design won the iF Design Award 2024 (Winner) in March 2024. Led by the New Mode Rail Group of Shu Dao Group, this train is designed for the Dujiangyan-Siguniangshan Mountain Rail Transit Project (Du-Si project), China's first rail transit line using a gear-rail system. Its design features a floating-style front, the largest curved sightseeing glass in China, parametric lighting groups, and interior spaces that incorporate Tibetan and Qiang ethnic cultures, aiming to create a model integrating "transportation + poverty alleviation + tourism + ecology". The train employs advanced technologies such as Beidou/5G IoT-based autonomous driving and intelligent analysis, and innovatively adopts a meter-gauge + gear-rail design, offering strong climbing capability and terrain adaptability. It holds significant importance for improving transportation in western mountainous regions and promoting rural revitalization.
