Jiaxing Tram

The Jiaxing Tram ("Nanhu Hao") commenced operation on June 25, 2021, in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, marking the launch of the first tram system in Zhejiang. The train features an advanced design with a 100% low-floor configuration and supercapacitor energy storage, which eliminates the need for overhead lines by enabling rapid 30-second charging at stations for green and quiet running. Its exterior deeply integrates local cultural themes, including the "South Lake Red Boat," "South Lake Swift," and "Misty Rain Tower." By effectively connecting the two major transport hubs of Jiaxing Railway Station and Jiaxing South High-Speed Rail Station, this project stands as a landmark initiative for Jiaxing in building a "rail-integrated Yangtze River Delta" and promoting the development of green public transport and the integration of "transportation + tourism."
