On December 29, 2024, the CR450 EMU prototype was officially unveiled in Beijing. With core performance indicators including operating speed, energy consumption, interior noise and braking distance reaching international advanced levels, the EMU significantly reduces long-distance travel time, improves braking performance and operational stability, and is equipped with diverse intelligent service functions. It has achieved comprehensive upgrades in drive control, driving interaction, safety monitoring and passenger service systems, marking that China’s high-speed railway technology has entered a new stage of development.
Chinese Metro Trains to Serve Brazil for the First Time with Our Institute’s Design

On May 28, 2024 local time, the signing ceremony for the 24-unit metro train project was held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Liu Changqing, Chairman of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., and Ronaldo Vancelote, President of Belo Horizonte Metro Company, signed the contract jointly. Our institute participated in the exterior design of the trains, which marks the first time that Chinese metro trains will serve the fourth-largest city in Brazil, providing intelligent mobility solutions for local residents.

On March 28, 2025, the "Central Plains Railway · Heart of Henan" themed sightseeing train was officially rolled off the production line. Its exterior design integrates the shape of the Yellow River with the Central Plains skyline, featuring surging wave patterns and colored pottery glaze techniques to express the dynamic beauty of Yellow River culture, while the interior incorporates distinctive regional elements of Henan with "one scene per carriage", turning the train into a mobile cultural pavilion and improving passengers’ travel satisfaction and cultural experience.
Trains Upgraded from 4 to 8 Cars Now in Service! Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2 Launches Upgraded Trains

On May 24, 2024, the first train of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2, upgraded from 4-car formation to 8-car formation, was officially put into operation. The train has been comprehensively optimized with anti-slip stainless steel seats and wear-resistant, stain-proof and durable flooring materials; the circular handrails have been redesigned into a triangular shape to improve passenger grip comfort. The pneumatic doors have been upgraded to gear-driven ones, energy-saving LED lighting has been adopted in new carriages to enhance brightness, and the broadcasting and network systems have been fully updated. These improvements provide citizens with a more convenient, safer and more comfortable travel experience.
Delivered! Shenzhen Metro Line 3 and Line 11 Welcome New Trains

On May 10, 2024, the first new train for Shenzhen Metro Line 11 and the inaugural train for the fourth phase of Line 3 arrived on the same day. The interior of the new Line 11 train features a blue-purple color scheme, with coordinated seat and handrail tones. The seats are adorned with petal-shaped accents on both sides, embodying a simple and elegant style. Two business-class cabins incorporate design elements such as walnut wood-grain panels and partition screens, aimed at enhancing comfort and privacy for high-end business travelers commuting to the airport. The delivery of these new trains marks the entry of Shenzhen Metro's operational capacity into a new stage of enhancement.
Fuzhou Binhai Express Line train unveiled!

On May 9, 2024, the first train of Fuzhou Binhai Express Line was officially unveiled.The train features a rounded front design, enhancing its approachability. The sides of the train are adorned with black curved window bands combined with a "blue sea and sky" color scheme, creating lines that resemble rolling mountains and waves, echoing Fuzhou's geographical features and visually emphasizing a sense of speed.Inside, the carriage is predominantly white, complemented by the line’s thematic colors. The design not only reflects the unique characteristics of Fuzhou but also provides citizens with a more efficient and comfortable public transportation option.
First Renovated Train of Shanghai Metro Line 3 Extension Officially Rolled Off the Production Line

On April 22, 2024, the first train of the Shanghai Metro Line 3 Extension renovation project was officially rolled off the production line. The project carries out systematic technological upgrading and design optimization for the 03A01 type trains that have been in service for more than 20 years. The carriage design balances humanization and functionality, with a dedicated wheelchair area added to improve barrier-free services. The train is equipped with large-size LCD dynamic route maps and glass-screen destination displays, which significantly enhance information visualization and passenger guidance efficiency. The upgraded trains will further optimize the travel experience for citizens and inject new vitality into urban transportation.
Dujiangyan M-TR Sightseeing Passenger Line to Launch Trial Operation, Building a New Artery for Regional Tourism Transportation

On March 14, 2024, the Dujiangyan M-TR Tourist Passenger Line (tram) is expected to commence trial operation in April 2024. The line spans approximately 20.3 kilometers and consists of one main line and two branch lines. It connects key scenic spots such as Dujiangyan, Mount Qingcheng, and the Panda Valley with transportation hubs, running through the Sunac Cultural Tourism City.
The line is projected to significantly enhance regional tourism transportation efficiency, facilitate connectivity between attractions, optimize tourist distribution, and contribute to the upgrade of Dujiangyan’s tourism services as well as the development of a low-carbon travel system.

Themed "Dream of Shanghai," the train features a flowing blue and gold curve design on the exterior, with interiors that integrate technological lighting and color-blocking elements, showcasing the urban character of Shanghai and modern transportation aesthetics. This train enhances the connectivity of the Yangtze River Delta's transportation network, strengthens the radiating capacity of its hubs, and holds significant strategic importance for promoting regional integrated development.
China’s First "Science Fiction Bus" Debuts in Chengdu

On October 18, 2023, China’s first "Science Fiction Bus" featuring futuristic livery, moon-like surface flooring, and integrated sound, light and electric elements officially debuted at the World Science Fiction Convention held beside the Chengdu Science Fiction Museum, which resembles a nebula. After the convention, the bus will be open to all citizens and integrated into Chengdu’s tourist bus service system, providing a brand-new experience for science fiction fans from all over the world.
